1. Who we are

Flourish Robots Corporation is the controller of the personal information described here. Our address and contact details are at the end of this policy.

2. What we collect

Account and order information. Name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and order history. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.

Recordings you approve. When you teach the robot a task, or when you approve a recording session, we receive camera footage, depth and sensor data, robot movement data, and the workflow steps associated with that task. This footage is captured inside your home and may show your rooms, your possessions, and any person or animal present.

Live operational data. While the robot is carrying out a task, sensor and camera data is transmitted between the robot and our servers so the system can decide what to do next. This data is processed in transit and is not stored.

Robot and app data. Device identifiers, firmware version, battery and motor telemetry, error and crash logs, task success and failure records, connection quality, and app usage.

Voice input. If you speak to the robot, we process what you say in order to respond and act.

Communications. Messages you send us, including through any community channel we operate.

Website data. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referral source.

3. Consent before recording

The robot does not begin a recording session on its own. It asks, and you approve, each time.

Approval covers a session, not a permanent state. You can end a session at any time, and you can delete an approved recording afterwards from the app.

Other people in your home. Only you can give this consent, but the camera may capture your family, your housemates, your guests, and anyone else present. You are responsible for telling them that the robot has a camera and for obtaining their agreement where your local law requires it. Some U.S. states and many countries require the consent of every person recorded. Please take this seriously — it is your household, and we cannot manage it for you.

5. How we use approved recordings

Approved recordings are used to fine-tune the performance of the task they relate to. This is how a workflow that works most of the time becomes one that works nearly always.

We use them to train and improve the models that run tasks on Flourish robots. Where a recording is used beyond your own unit, we take reasonable steps to remove or obscure directly identifying material first.

We do not use your recordings for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not share them with other robot owners.

If you would rather not contribute recordings at all, decline the recording prompt. Teaching a task requires a recording session, so declining means that task cannot be taught — but the robot will continue to run every task it already knows.

6. Who we share with

Service providers, under contract and only to do work for us: cloud hosting and compute, payment processing, shipping and logistics, customer support tooling, email delivery, and analytics.

Legal and safety: where required by law, court order, or lawful request, or where necessary to investigate a safety incident or protect someone from harm.

Corporate transactions: if we are acquired or merge, your information may transfer with the business. You will be notified.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

7. Where your data goes

We are based in the United States and our infrastructure is located there. If you are outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy law differs from your own.

For transfers from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary measures as appropriate.

8. How long we keep it

Deleted recordings are removed from active systems immediately and from backups within 14 days. Data already incorporated into a trained model cannot be individually extracted; deletion stops any further use.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting recording access to personnel who need it, logging of internal access, and network segmentation between robot traffic and general systems.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to restrict processing, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect and why, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Recordings made inside a private residence may include sensitive personal information; we use it only to provide and improve the product.

Other U.S. states — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others — grant comparable rights, and we extend the rights above to all residents of those states.

To exercise any right, write to [PRIVACY EMAIL]. We respond within 45 days, or 30 days for requests under UK and EU law. We may need to verify your identity first.

11. Children

Flourish 1 is sold to adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

The camera may nonetheless capture children living in or visiting your home. We treat any footage that includes a child with the same protection as sensitive data, and we do not use it for any purpose other than improving task performance. If you believe a recording containing a child should be removed, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Automated decision-making

The robot makes automated decisions about how to carry out a task. These decisions concern movement and object handling. We do not use automated decision-making to produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

13. Changes

We will post any update here and change the date at the top. For material changes affecting how we use recordings, we will notify you directly and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
